FOMO: Fear of Missing Out

“Aw shucks, I should have bought some bitcoins years ago!”  “Why didn’t I invest in Amazon…or ZOOM for that matter?!”

We have all heard and thought these types of comments but they are just psychological and hypothetical mental masturbations because the reality is this: we can only be, do, and have whatever our current level of consciousness dictates at any given moment, so give yourself a break…you are where you are and you are doing the best you can based on the trajectory of your past, going all the way back through your parents to the beginning of time.

In fact, I did buy some bitcoin back in 2012 when it was around 100 bucks but I sold it a few years ago during the last spike because I needed the money, so this blog post is just as much for me as it is for you.  Of course my regret isn’t as severe as the poor guy who sold 10,000 bitcoins for pizza!  It’s all relative.  Statistics show that 70% of lottery winners end up going broke while 33% file for bankruptcy.

The concept which I am trying to get my monkey mind to wrap around is that our universe popped out of some kind of infinitely abundant and creative “stuff” about 13.8 billion years ago, and since you and I popped out of this universe, then logic dictates that both the universe and we are also made of this infinitely abundant and creative stuff.   You can think of this stuff as George Lucas’ “Force” in “Star Wars,” which our modern scientists call the quantum field, a field that binds everything together.

Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh (1889)

From this quantum field came "The Big Bang" of space, energy, light and sound.  According to Albert Einstein’s equation E=mc² (Energy equals mass times the speed of light times the speed of light), our physical universe is just energy and frequency.

Add to this that our entire physical universe, from the Milky Way galaxy to our solar system, a hurricane, an atom, DNA, a nautilus shell, a rose, an oak tree, and our own body, are guided by physical laws and the Fibonacci sequence—a mathematical formula that builds on the number before it without ever returning back to zero to include all of the numbers.

Energy and frequency therefore create some sort of energetic hologram based on a kind of “software program,” not unlike the Wachowskis’ “The Matrix,” whereby the code is: physical laws and mathematics.  This software program leads to a perceived limited and scarce “dog eat dog” sort of world to the point of us becoming like the Morlocks from H.G. Wells’ “Time Machine,” who have grown accustomed to the darkness and live off of earlier versions of ourselves.

The past is always repeating in different forms and patterns such as predator and prey, slave owner and slave, boss and worker, etc.  But you are brilliant; you have access to an inner genius if you consciously “return to zero point” or the quantum field (“Use the Force, Luke!”) because every moment contains the seed of this infinitely abundant and creative Force, whether it is the beginning of some new crypto, stock, book, script, invention, technology, business, film, play, painting, art piece, song, video game, app, NFT…or whatever your mind can conceive!

“Mona Lisa” & “Vitruvian Man” by Leonardo da Vinci with Fibonacci Spiral (1503-1519)

Like an apple seed…one apple seed produces a large apple tree, which produces an abundance of apple seeds, which then produce a plethora of apple trees, and on and on.  Similarly, it is our job to both gather and produce “seeds.”  Not every seed will land on fertile soil…but some will if we nurture them.

As I mentioned earlier, my consciousness in 2012 bought some bitcoin seeds, but my subconscious soil back in 2017 was not able to allow me to nurture them to fruition…so now I’m working on fortifying that soil!  So pat yourself on the back.  You are here, you are learning, evolving, and growing.  You are in the perfect place at the perfect time learning from any “missed opportunities.”

I will leave you with this: work on your subconscious mind, which is the only obstacle to the infinitely abundant and creative stuff.   A good way to do this is by using YouTube…not just for learning and funny cat videos, but for playing meditation, hypnosis, and affirmation videos on abundance, or whatever topic you want…while you sleep.  As your subconscious mind grasps the concept of the omnipresent and interconnected field, your fears and limiting beliefs will not control your choices…and therefore your life.

Ultimately, you will find yourself guided to the right seeds or creating your own seeds, which your mind will then fertilize and realize to fruition because there is no such thing as “missing out!”
