So this whole thing started pretty normally. I was just doing what I always do on MiningBlocks — opening boxes, recycling miners, nothing special. Then I noticed something about the recycling system. When you recycle a miner, you get recycle tokens and referral tokens. Referral tokens let you open more boxes, and those boxes sometimes give miners that drop even more tokens when recycled. If you get lucky with the better ones, the tokens stack fast.

I didn’t think much of it at first. I just kept looping it whenever I had time. Open a few boxes, recycle whatever came out, repeat. It felt like a small routine that slowly started giving decent returns. Eventually, without even realising how far I’d gone, I ended up with around 15000 recycle tokens. That’s roughly 600 bucks if you convert it into blocks. I only sold around 30 dollars worth, and even that I sold cheap because I was generating more anyway and didn’t really care about the price.

Then one day, out of nowhere, the option to convert those tokens into blocks just disappeared. I refreshed the page thinking the site bugged, but no — it was removed. And it hit me that the devs were watching the economy and probably saw that this loop was getting out of hand. I wasn’t trying to break anything, but I guess if too many people used the same method, it could’ve messed up the in-game currency and prices. I was frustrated and can be seen in these discord messages.

I was annoyed for a bit because I felt like my progress got cut off. But honestly, I get why they did it. I found a mechanic that was a little too good for short-term gains, and eventually it had to be adjusted. I can still reroll miners and slowly build things for the long term, so it’s not the end of the world. Just one of those moments where you realise you pushed the system a bit too far without meaning to.
