Fibres of fiction form the web that has been woven
Each strand a different story that has carefully been chosen.
These stories span the eons, covering every place on earth
And we’re tangled in their pieces from the moment of our birth.
Those pieces form our worldview and our sense of what can be
They merge with our experiences, teach us what to see
The filter grows in deeper layers, tells us what to ignore
But when blinded by the filter are you missing out on more?
There’s more to understand, I’m sure, than what we’re being told
More wonders and surprises that we have yet to behold.
It begins when we start challenging all that we have been fed
And awakenings will blossom when we start to see the web.
We see all its connections where none were seen before
So we dig a little deeper and we pry a little more
Start unveiling what the truth is and what’s a blatant lie
Freedom’s finally ours when we refuse to be a fly.
