One common condition that all humans share (whether or not we like it or even realize it) is the addiction to pleasure seeking. We all possess a pleasure center that craves stimulation, that is unless there exist individuals who defy those particular genetic lattices. Regardless of those lucky(?) people, it doesn't matter what we do to achieve said stimuli, as long as the chemical footprints are being refilled on a regular-enough basis. Thus, whatever it is that we choose to recklessly use in order to slake that obsession--just one more hit at a time, we tell ourselves--becomes the tool of our own personal degradation and ultimate destruction.

After said self-annihilation has resulted in bottoming (usually of the rocky variety), all we can do is pick up the pieces and move on with the knowledge of what happens when we self-destruct. That will in no way inoculate us to the charms of our addiction/s, but should serve as a stark self-assessment of what behaviors we need to adopt in order to curb our obsessive behavior. Or it could lead us to developing obsessions that are perceived more positively by the wider scope of people, i.e. the folks we're supposed to impress in this life of ours.

Why it is that we're supposed to impress folks is another matter altogether. In a nutshell, we must be perceived as ready to submit to abuse in order to receive our pittance. This pittance is then immediately turned over to the utilities and "law-makers" that prop up this sham of a business model that pits people against each other for a perceived scarcity of resources that doesn't actually exist in the way they depict (through the dissemination of media funded through mass manipulation).
And why would it be that a small group of "ruling" individuals can't see past the tips of their own upturned noses to do a damn thing about this pandemic destroying the very planet upon which we walk? They're simply addicted to power, and have no means of perpetuating it without using the same tawdry methods they used to obtain it in the first place. Shame is out the window, likely has been for decades (most likely relegated to the fine print of predatory contracts they've been drafting), so it comes down only to brazen disregard and apathy for a few measly dollars.

I'm not an organizer, I'm just a guy who can put some pretty words together from time to time. I'm fairly hopeless at turning a profit at anything, namely because my priorities are the exact opposite of what would be considered desirable. But I do like the possibility for cryptocurrency (and its whale of an uncle, Bitcoin), and I think I'll cling to that for a bit. :)
Just an aside: I am not a doctor, nor do I conduct official research of any kind. The thoughts expressed herein are exclusively mine, to be dealt with accordingly. I choose to reference no specific names or societal structures, for the love of god and all that is holy. Also, I'm sure that the pig in my last image is a perfectly nice individual, and should not be lumped into the pile of swine to which I'm referring.
