A sacred solstice to you & your beloveds.
What a time this has been. I have talked to so many fellow voyagers of the unknown over the past few weeks since the lunar eclipse, and everyone seems to have been visited by the same cosmic tidal wave. Comfort zones have been challenged, stale roles have been left behind, plans have been shaken or obliterated all together and what is left is new, seemingly uncertain and might feel like an itchy sweater for now.
The past few weeks have been a true whirlwind for many. For those born between Feb 1991 and Jan 1994, or between Jan 1962 and March 1964 - you have entered a Saturn Return period that will last until 2023. Saturn Returns occur when hard-working, task-master Saturn returns into the same positioning it was in when you were born.
It will happen for everyone about 2- hopefully 3 times in their life (around 29, 59 and 89 years old). This time period is basically a spiritual, emotional coming of age. Life tends to upend, change drastically, or face extreme challenges that will shift the way you approach the world and your perspective. Think the vibe of the eclipse but on steroids.
If you are born in the above-mentioned sandwich of time, your return is in Aquarius. Saturn returned there on December 17th. Weirdly, it popped in at the end of March until July, but then dipped out for a hot second during a retrograde. As of the 17th though, we are now back in action, and this Saturn Return period will last until March 2023. Saturn in Aquarius is all about vision, serving the collective and finding how your voice and unique abilities fit into the big picture of aiding the universe around us. This time will be about reevaluating your life choices, and perhaps making some big changes to be sure you are working hard to fulfill your purpose in life. Just a small task, right?
The other major astro-dance that is happening is The Great Conjunction on December 21st - which also happens to be our Winter Solstice...aka Yule. Now...please hang with me while I get a little “out there” (lol, it is already a Witch newsletter, so I think we are good) in my exploration of this insanely cool happening. On Monday, we Witches will be celebrating the darkest, longest night and simultaneously, Jupiter & Saturn will come UNBELIEVABLY close together - the closest they have appeared to be in 800 YEARS. Let me just say that again...800 YEARS.
As you can imagine, this is a big freakin deal. So, let’s dive into some thoughts on how this might rumble life as we know it here on Earth...
The Great Conjunction and Great Commotion
Jupiter and Saturn will be getting cozy by the fire just as we all hunker down for a long Winter Solstice’s night. These outer planets hold a lot of weight in the grand scheme of things. They don’t just bop around, quickly shifting and shimmying on just any old day. They are slow moving, and can really pull some serious change with their force.
Jupiter is concerned with spirituality, religion, faith, destiny, expansion and exploration. As mentioned before, Saturn is all about hard work, determination, limitations and responsibility. When these two meet, it is not a subtle energy. Think power couple...when they get close, it seems as if nothing but them exists and you can’t help but stare.
The last time they met up in Aquarius was the beginning of The Renaissance. That should give you an idea of how this might shift things. Think of it like Jupiter and Saturn are the star-studded, powerful lovers and they meet up in different clubs, hotels or hot spots throughout their relationship. Depending on the vibe, it can change how they interact.
Club Aquarius makes them really want to be radically creative and inspires them to create a whole new world full of communication, connection and growth. In the past, their rendezvous has been in much more earthy, grounded signs. So, this shift is going to truly kickstart a whole new era....
