“Many people work their whole lives to be able to move to a place like this. I have been blessed to grow up here.”

Me.

I am a simple man. Living a simple life. It has not always been easy. But at least I have spent it in paradise surrounded by love.

I am not a wealthy man, but I feel like I am richer than most. I have most of my basic needs met. I have a wonderful family. I have more very close friends than any man deserves.

I open my window and hear the seals barking. Smelling the ocean air an listening to the waves crash. Every morning I am reminded that I live in paradise.

Getting home from work. The sun is setting over the water. The reds mixing with blues create so many amazing purples. As the Osprey fly over being chased by some smaller backbirds, I look beyond and see the splash of a sperm whale breaching. Fifteen seconds later, as the whale breaches again, the sound of the first breach finally reaches me. Every evening I am reminded I live in paradise.

Walking through my door, I am greeted with kisses by my wife. My children clinging to me and telling me they love me. My dog waiting his turn for pets and a scratch behind the ear. And once again I am reminded that paradise surrounds me.

Due to a changing landscape in my chosen career, I am out of work at 50. Things have been difficult these last couple years. Christmas will be lean this year once again. I feel like I am treading water trying to stay afloat with my finances. Behind on the car payment, house payment, Credit Cards. But I am still in paradise.

Now, as I move forward into a new chapter of my life, I am just beginning to feel optimism. My wife has picked up much of the slack and I am seeing new future in front of me. I must fight now in order to hold on to my ability to remain in paradise.

Forging a new future is not easy. I am studying every day to gain the skills I need to succeed in the digital world. It is a new frontier, but I am confident I can navigate it. I have worked for myself my entire life. I am not about to give up my freedom now.

I am studying very hard in many subjects. The crypto age is upon us. I am practicing crypto investing with a small amount as I learn to use the different tools necessary to become a successful trader. Or at least build some sort of future wealth with it.

I hope to build a strong brand. I will be strengthening and creating a presence across various social media platforms. Through these platforms I will show all the beauty that lies withing my paradise. Both from interacting with my natural world and introducing work from other local artisans.

It is time to start some e-commerce as well. I hope you enjoy my offerings. I will be blogging about what I am learning along the way. I will be sharing successes and failure. I hope I can build a community online and share this growth. I hope to learn from you and I hope to be able to teach a couple lessons as well.
