My Wealth Lies in Love Embrace
As I peer across the sea
I wonder what will come of me
I've lived so far so wild so free
In a paradise most dream to be
And then my world came crashing down
Cursing me with a permanent frown
A wave of pain to make me drown
I finally succumb to my first breakdown
Pointing my finger at the source of this mess
Passing the blame trapped in duress
Depression resentment hopelessness
Too many days are filled with stress
Fear and loathing, I'm not in the desert
Though the pain of this burn surely does hurt.
I'm used to having the world on my shoulders
And I have moved mountains boulder by boulders
No more complaining no more excuses
No more blaming others abuses
No more snapping and blowing my fuses
No more living life as recluses
Out of our tunnel toward a flicker of light
Tossing and turning every night
I push myself forward with all my might
To realize my dreams it is time to take flight
So now with some help I will stand up and fight
And pull my way out of this terrible plight
At the end of the tunnel I hear my friends calling
Urging me forward and helping me stand
Helping me carry the burdens I'm hauling
Lifting me up and holding my hand
Some people are blessed with a life of good health
Others with riches and money and wealth
Then there are those who only seek power
Hoping to make everyone cower
Me I was blessed with bountiful friendships
Backed by a clan of amazing kinship
These riches are greater than power and wealth
And I have been blessed with pretty good health.
So a new seed's been planted reaching up to the sun
The soil's still fertile but the work is not done
A new way of life a new education
It may not be easy it may not be fun
But I'll find where I'm going
The Journey's begun
I just want to thank all my friends and family for sticking with me during this tough time.
