Some time ago I wrote this article about HYIPs (high yield investment plans) websites and why we should avoid them at any cost. If you haven't checked it yet, you should.
Now I want to go a little deeper on a related topic that I mentioned there - the so called Monitor websites. Their job is to "report" to the wide public if HYIPs are still paying in order for the people to avoid getting scammed. You will probably agree that said in this way it sounds and looks like those websites are doing a great community service. But let me explain why they are just as bad as the HYIPs themselves.
The list of those websites is indefinite -> there are so many of them and all have the same business model. This is how they make money:
1) they are getting paid for advertisement from HYIP owners.
2) They invest the minimum amount of money/bitcoin/eth etc., in any of those HYIPs.
3) Then create a monitor to show that this particular website is paying. Behind that monitor there is referral link, which the users, like you and me are clicking and investing. So they are getting additional income.
4) as I explained before, HYIPs are Ponzi schemes -> at the start they are always paying. Depending on how crazy are their plans(5%/day, 10%/day, 1%/hour, etc.) they can last from weeks, to months and in some very rare occasions - a year. But make no mistake - they are paying to investors with the money they are getting from other investors, until the point where their operations gets so big so they just call it a day and stop paying. But until this day -> the Investor Protect websites/Monitors are receiving referral commissions from user's investments and they are withdrawing the earnings every single day. Sometimes more than once a day. At the moment when they stop to receive money from the HYIP, they change the status of the "Monitor" to "not paying" and declare that this HYIP stopped paying. This is after they made decent amount of money of the user's back, got paid from the HYIP for advertisement.
Every single link on those websites is a referral. Sometimes they are getting up to 20-30% from whatever the users invest. You pub 10$ into HYIP -> they are getting 2-3$ from them. It is a crazy good profit if you ask me.
Here is list of few monitor websites so you can check for yourselves that all of the links they have are referrals.

https://investors-protect.com/
and there are so many more. Please guys, avoid them on any cost. Do not believe any of them.
I will even go further and say that those HYIPs are probably ran by handful of people, the same people that are behind the Monitors. There is this website, where you can find the ready to use templates for HYIPs, and if you go over the different models you will see very familiar designs that are being used all the time from HYIPs with different names. I will not provide the link to the website, because it is infected with some malware and i do not recommend to anyone to open it. It is called "HISDESIGNZ, DOT, COM". If you are curious and you have a "sandbox" VM with no AV you can go ahead and open it to look around.
Anyway, I hope you guys find this useful.
