This weekend I encountered few reviews on Youtube for the newly released folding phone Escobar Fold2 from the Escobar Inc, company. They are loosely related to the Columbian Drug dealer Pablo Escobar. So here is what I found out till now - the phones they are selling are actually the 2nd revision of the Samsung Galaxy Fold (costs $2000 from Samsung) supplied to the Columnian company from different retailers that had overstock or phones that did not pass the quality tests on Samsung. Anyway, currently it is possible to obtain this phone with their premium specs for the price which is exactly 5 times lower than the Samsung branded phone. The difference is the gold plated vinyl at the back of the phone with the Pablo Escobar logo.

Another curios topic to discuss is the way they do their marketing campaign... Excluding few videos on Youtube there is literally nothing else. They are trying to market the phone from mouth to mouth. Currently there are 3-4 youtubers who made unboxing videos and reviews.

The most strange part is the way of payment if you want to order the phone(free delivery worldwide) - they accept direct bank transfer and crypto(Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum). Those are 2 ways that you have do not have any guarantee for your money. All this sounds so sketchy. On other hand getting this device for $399 is excellent deal.
