Thousands of years after its destruction, a monastery dedicated to Saint John The Baptist was built on the site. Even today, the area holds an unsettling presence, as if the spirits of the underworld still linger, unable to find peace.

The Necromanteion of Acheron was the most famous necromantic temple in ancient Europe. Unlike other temples that practiced necromancy, this one was believed to be a direct gateway to the underworld.
