5. Cat Town 🐱
Cat Town is a cozy browser-based idle adventure built on Base. You can access it through Base App or as a Farcaster mini-app, where your goal is to build and manage a town run entirely by cats.
Each cat generates one Floof per second. You can convert Floofs back into ETH or save 8,640,000 Floofs to create a new cat.
The game also features weekly fishing competitions settled onchain using Gelato VRF, a gacha system powered by KIBBLE, and a Post Office that allows players to exchange items and NFTs.
KIBBLE acts as the game’s deflationary currency, with spending burning the tokens. The Founders Collection contains 777 hand-drawn cat NFTs, which unlock cosmetics and provide a passive Floof boost, although the core gameplay remains accessible without owning one.
Latest update: On July 30, 2026, the team confirmed that an RPG expansion is currently in development, with plans for an onchain MMO experience.
4. Heroes of Mavia ⚔️
Heroes of Mavia is a free-to-play mobile MMO strategy game available on iOS, Android, and PC. Its Land and Legendary Item NFTs operate on Base.
Players build and defend their headquarters using walls, turrets, traps, and other defenses while collecting resources such as Gold, Oil, and Ruby. Armies can then be trained and sent into three-minute raids against other players.
The game also features Ruby Battles, where players compete against the same Ghost Base with identical loadouts, creating a more skill-focused experience.
One of the biggest recent additions is Alliance Wars, which launched its first season on August 3, 2026. Alliances compete for territory on a grid-based map, with entry fees initially waived.
Ruby can be earned through battles and daily challenges and used to upgrade Land, Heroes, and Statues. It can also be traded through the gas-free Ruby Marketplace.

3. KOMPETE 🎮
KOMPETE is a free cross-platform gaming hub developed by Modernize Games using Unreal Engine 5. It runs across PC, iOS, and Android, with a shared avatar system.
The game currently has four Early Access modes:
- Blitz Royale
- Kart Race
- Coin Pusher
- Golf
Golf officially launched on July 1, 2026, initially as a driving range before expanding toward a four-player, nine-hole experience featuring real ball-flight physics.
Blitz Royale also received a major overhaul on July 30, introducing a continuously shrinking safe zone, unlimited revives until the halfway point, and an item system allowing players to carry up to ten items.
KOMPETE’s economy is focused heavily on cosmetics. Voolah powers the shop, while a monthly Ticket provides access to the cosmetic pass. The rebuilt Bazaar allows players to trade Konvert-ed cosmetic NFTs using the KOMPETE Token across Ethereum and Base.
Latest update: Patch v0.88 arrived on August 9, 2026, bringing an updated MyLegacy leaderboard. Basketball is also currently being developed in public.
2. Ashen Throne ☢️
Ashen Throne is a post-apocalyptic 4X strategy MMO currently in open beta. It can be played for free in a browser or on Android, while its NFT infrastructure is being tested on Base.
Players travel through the wasteland inside a mobile fortress known as a Crawler, rebuilding their armies and fighting for resources after civilization has collapsed.
Combat uses a tactical autobattler system based around three damage types:
Kinetic → Electric → Psionic
Building the right army composition can therefore be more important than simply having the largest force.
Extraction missions add another layer of risk. Players must successfully return with their loot, because rival players can kill the courier and claim everything.
The game also features Citadel Siege, where alliances fight for territory and taxation rights across four districts.
NFT imports and exports are currently being tested and remain completely optional. The developers have also confirmed that no token has launched yet.
Latest updates: The Android version was updated on August 1, 2026, while the Alliance Siege Cup is running from August 21–30.
1. Pixie Chess ♟️✨
At number one is Pixie Chess, an onchain chess game on Base that keeps the basic rules of chess but completely changes the pieces.
Instead of traditional chess pieces, players can choose from a constantly expanding collection of more than 58 magical variants.
For example, a Bouncer Bishop can ricochet off the edge of the board, while a Golden Pawn can instantly win the game if it reaches the opposite rank. Other pieces have special abilities that activate when capturing or moving through friendly pieces.
Because new pieces are continually introduced, strategies and safe openings can change over time.
Pixie Chess offers free quickplay and practice modes alongside tournaments. New pieces are released through a Variable Rate Gradual Dutch Auction, with auction proceeds going into a shared tournament vault rather than directly to the studio.
Tournament players can commit pieces to compete. Depending on the tournament, pieces can either be consumed during the competition or retained to build ladder standing.
