When the UI is buggy and you spent hours getting into a race, dont worry there is an easier solution. Just race through bloks.
Before we go explaining how to use the bloks, there is one thing you need to do before.
1. Step
You need to send Snakoil/Snakgas/Snakven to novarallyapp.
The easiest way in my opinion is through alcor, here is the link:
You need to log in with your wallet, then you see this.
YOU NEED TO CLICK TRANSFER, NOT DEPOSIT. This is an intelligence test, if you fail now, stop right here.
If you dont wanna do it all day, it is better to send a larger amount at once, like this:
If you race in intermediate league, or veteran, do the same with snakgas and snakpow too.
2. Step Racing through bloks

Now you are at the magic site.
So now you enter your player name and then you need to find out your Asset ID's.
The easiest way to find your asset id's is through atomichub.

Then you log in, go to novarally inventory and look up your assets:
Then you click on the asset and copy the asset id.
This is what you do with every car and driver you want to use.
Best is to collect it inside a text-data so it's easier longterm.
Now you fill the original link with your data:
If this happens, click again on submit transaction:
Congratulations grand-daddy, now you just joined a race through bloks!
So now that we can race, lets join a DeathRally:

Get your filters right to find the right meta-spamming asset-id. DONT FORGET TO PUT [asset-id] this time.
This is how you can unlock your drivers and cars for DeathRally.
But right now I dont know how to join the DeathRally through bloks, this you have to try through the software.
3. Step
But this is how you can claim your broken car from the DeathRally.
You copy the race-id from the last DeathRally you joined:
Now go this link to find out in which DeathRally your car was stuck.
