Being deployed is extremely exciting until you are in 120 degree heat, the Sirens go off and you quickly have to put on MOPP gear to protect yourself from chemical and biological attacks....
In the midst of this thoughts run threw your mind.... this is war.... the goal is for the enemy to kill or injure you. You are the enemy because you stand for an ideology that ALL MEN and WOMAN are free... terrorism is not alright no matter who you are.

Might be the day they learn they have Multiple sclerosis
Going from day 1 to infinity is dependent on YOU.
As you know I have faced significant health challenges from being deployed.
A lady that I read from said NOT TO BLAME but to find a way FORWARD to make the system better...
I am going to do my VERY BEST in NOT BLAMING MYSELF, VA, or DOD.
I got the results from the bronoscopy.... 4 organisms were discovered.
- streptococcus spp. viridans group
- rothia species
- serratia marcescens
- streptococcus constellatus
Nasty nasty infection from pneumonia. I will speak with the doctor Wednesday about this and what next steps are.
Saw the Pulmonary Hypertension Specialist.
The right side of my heart is thickened.
Based on other results, we are going forth with the right heart cath. That will be in February.
Saw the Brain doctor. An MRI was done by my Primary Care provider that showed new lesions and the brain stem lesion was active again.
I was put on a new medication to control the pain from nerve damage.
She said that she thinks this is Multiple Sclerosis.
The torturous veins in my eyes have increased....
MRI of the brain, cervical spine and thoracic spine with and without contrast is being done.
EMG of arm and left leg being done to check on the decline of nerve function from last time. This will be in February.
I am not afraid but what concerns me is how my daughter's handle this.
Treatment options depending on the outcome of the right heart cath is an inhaler.
