An Open Letter To Kamala Harris

By IngoBreuer | VoiceOfFaith | 15 Nov 2020

In my 25 years of Christian letterwriting ministry I began noticing the radical antichristian leftism of what is now supposed to be America's vice-president: Senator Kamala Harris from California. Her leftist, feminist radicalism is extremely divisive and she does not represent all Americans. Too many of her political pet projects violate Scripture. We pray for her salvation and growth in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The following is a letter I wrote to her in July 2013.

Hostility toward true marriage between one man and one woman!

Dear Ms. Harris:

I am deeply shocked by the brutal hostility displayed recently at a „gay“ pride event in Seattle, Washington where a mob of lewd individuals beat up a Christian street preacher who was exercising his constitutional right of free exercise of faith and his duty as a God-called preacher of the Word of God. This shows the true spirit of the homosexual movement. It reminds me of the viciousness of the men of Sodom and Gomorra recorded in Genesis 19 who immediately tried to sexually assault the visitors and caused a public uproar. This is a sad time in America. You know America is in deep trouble. This nation needs to repent and turn from its sinful ways and return to those true American values that were held by the previous       generation. I am talking about that godly generation of Americans who erected the Ten Commandments monument at the Oakland zoo in the 1960s. Now there is a generation of ignorant militant unbelievers who hate God and forced the zoo to remove it. I would like to know what happened to the Ten Commandments monument of Oakland. Where is it now?

I agree with the 1986 book by the DeMoss foundation „Rebirth of America“ and the need for revival of faith in this land. Secular humanism has destroyed the moral underpinnings of society. I also agree with the 1986 Supreme Court defending traditional marriage against licentious and presumptuous redefinition. Chief Justice Warren Burger wrote approvingly: “Blackstone (an 18th-century English jurist) described ‘the infamous crime against nature' as an offence of ‘deeper malignity' than rape, a heinous act ‘the very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature', and ‘a crime not fit to be named'. To hold that the act of homosexual sodomy”, he continued, “is somehow protected as a fundamental right would be to cast aside millennia of moral teaching.” I believe they were right in 1986 but wrong in 2013. I will ignore the 2013 ruling because it violates my faith and conscience and I must obey God rather than man. If I was a California county clerk I would not sign a gay marriage certificate. I would do so in Jesus' name and for Christ's sake and for the common welfare of America's sake.

I ask you to discontinue your support for those disgusting pride events. Sin is nothing to be proud of but rather to be ashamed of. Especially when those who vaunt themselves of such sin commit acts of violence toward those who proclaim God's truth to provide a way to become liberated of such sexual sin. Yes, Jesus saves and heals. The thought of such sexual sin still evokes repulsion, disgust and outrage. America was settled and founded by people who sought religious freedom. People who wanted to live and work according to their conscience. Such were the Californians who started Hollywood – Christian people who gave free land for new churches to settle in the community. Even the movie industry voluntarily enforced its rules of decency in the Hays code of 1930. We need to go back to those old-time values. What we see today is not change but moral catastrophe. Now we need to work overtime to reverse the failures of the Supreme Court. The court misinterpreted the Constitution because it does not rule on morals. Marriage predates government. It is a natural institution. Just as a court cannot abolish or redefine gravity so it cannot change marriage between one man and one woman. For that reason I support Rep. Tim Huelskamp's amendment:

‘‘Marriage in the United States shall consist only of

the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitu-

tion, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed

to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be

conferred upon any union other than the union of a man

and a woman.’’.

It is a shame that a Supreme Court judge is so blind that he would misconstrue the constitution to make a populistic ruling that is not an interpretation of law but a presumptuous legislation from the bench. The Supreme Court has overstepped its boundaries.

The CEO of Chick-fil-A restaurants, Dan Cathy, put it well: “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,’”. He adds: “I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about.“

I hope the legislators all over this world take this to heart.

Sincerely,
