Metamodernism, as a social current that goes beyond the confines of modernity, attracts individuals with diverse profiles, including ADHD, high-functioning autism, dyslexia, and spiritual experiences. In his recent article, Hanzi Freinacht discusses the prevalence of neuroatypicality among metamodernism and explores the concept of self-selection in social movements. They argue that neuroatypical individuals, who possess solid and weak abilities compared to the average population, find themselves outside conventional social hierarchies.
