Gig workers in India are facing challenges due to unpredictable weather conditions, including extreme heat and unexpected rain, without adequate protection.
They work long hours, often without breaks, and struggle to earn minimum wage. Examples include Rajeev, a food delivery driver in Delhi, who faces health issues and hazardous working conditions, and Debjit, a motorcycle taxi driver in Kolkata, who experiences pain and near accidents due to heat and exhaustion. Leladhar, a delivery driver in Bengaluru, also suffers from physical discomfort and rashes caused by irregular weather patterns.
