Binance has suspended deposits for ten bridged tokens, including POLS, ALPACA, AVA, SPELL, FTM, ACH, BIFI, SUPER, FARM, and DEXE, due to stuck transactions and uncertainty surrounding the Multichain protocol. The suspension affects users on BNB Smart Chain, Fantom, Ethereum, and Avalanche networks. Multichain cited "force majeure" for the unavailability of cross-chain routes. Still, rumors on Twitter suggested that the Multichain team had been arrested by Chinese police, with $1.5 billion of bright contract funds under authorities' control.

Worldcoin, a crypto project, has raised $115 million in a Series C funding round led by Blockchain Capital. WDZD Swap, a DeFi protocol running on Binance Smart Chain, was exploited for $1.1 million worth of Binance-Pegged Ether (ETH). An attacker drained the tokens from the protocol by manipulating a low-level call in the Swap-LP factory address.

The crypto community has faced various hacks, scams, and rug pulls in 2023, with recent incidents involving Ordinals Finance and Level Finance contracts resulting in significant losses. CertiK reported a temporary decline in exploit losses in the first quarter.
