What are MakerDAO and DAI?

Maker, also called MakerDAO, is a decentralized automated organization built on the Ethereum Blockchain. MakerDAO is a stablecoin issuance and management system called DAI - a type of stablecoin that is mortgaged by cryptocurrency. Project Maker started operating in 2015 and does not carry out any ICOs. In 2018, Maker made a big splash in the cryptocurrency community by creating a completely new form of stablecoins and represented by the DAI coin.
