ROMANIA

Scene of Sighisoara town in Romania

Located in Transylvanian Plateau, Romania also means the "Citizen of the Roman empire" and with a language that is 1,700 years old. As described by Rosa Goldschmidt Waldeck, the country went through so many unfortunate events in its history and that somehow they always get on their feet again!.

The word "Transylvania" to me is always associated with the word "Dracula"... somehow. When we traveled from Bucharest to Suceava, drove through small villages, and saw many interesting scenes. There is one point we have visited a restaurant in the middle of nowhere and the restaurant owner so happy to see us. Even they did not speak English at all, they used any ways to explain the menu, and that day we had delicious Ciorbă de burtă!. A beautiful country with beautiful people! Enjoy!

Accompanied by no more than fifteen images, each series is intended to give readers the umami of travel.
