Midnight critters, in the dark of night Silent creatures, taking flight

With eyes that gleam, and fur so sleek They roam the woods, so wild and unique

Bats that flit, through the starlit sky Their echoes fill the air, as they fly high

With radar ears, they hunt for prey Nature's acrobats, in their own ballet

Owls that hoot, with voices so deep Their wisdom echoes, in the night's still keep

With eyes that pierce, the darkest of night They see what others cannot, with second sight

Foxes that prowl, with ears so acute Their cunning and stealth, is something to refute

They slip through the shadows, with grace and poise Nature's tricksters, in their own disguise

Raccoons that rummage, with nimble paws They search for food, without any flaws

Their bandit masks, a symbol of their wit Nature's opportunists, in the dark of it

Skunks that spray, with scent that awes Their defense, a warning for all foes

But beneath their odor, lies beauty untold Nature's survivors, in their own mold

The beauty of these nocturnal beasts Is something that cannot be expressed

In the shadows they play their part Nature's symphony, in the moon's soft art

So let us marvel, at these midnight critters And the secrets they keep, in the darkness that flitters

For they are a wonder, in the night's stillness Midnight critters, in all their wildness.

Let us treasure these creatures of the night, For they remind us to appreciate the light,

That shines within each and every one, Of these Midnight Critters, under the moon.
