In the corner of my eye,
a shadow lurks Following me,
in silence it works Mysterious and dark,
it never speaks But I feel its presence,
it's always within reach
I try to turn and face it head on But it slips away,
like a fleeting dawn Is it a curse, a ghost, or a dream?
I cannot tell, it's not as it seems
It whispers secrets, in the dead of night
Fills my mind with fear and fright I run and hide,
but it's always there A constant reminder,
of a burden to bear I don't know why it
haunts me so But I fear,
I'll never let it go This shadow,
it's become a part of me A dark and mysterious entity
It's with me always,
day and night A companion on my journey,
through the darkest blight
I can't shake it off,
no matter how I try This shadow,
it's mine, till the day I die.
