In a land of slumber, where dreams do abound, I ventured to sleep, with peace to surround. But oh, little did I know, the fate that lied ahead, As I chose a bad position, and laid down my weary head.
I drifted off to dreamland, with a blissful sigh, Unaware of the havoc, my slumber would imply. In the twilight hours, my body found a twist, A contortionist's delight, oh, what a twist!
I curled like a pretzel, my spine in a knot, Unbeknownst to me, the discomfort I had brought. As the night wore on, I journeyed through sleep, But little did I know, my back would slowly weep.
With the morning light's arrival, I opened my eyes, But instead of feeling refreshed, I let out woeful cries. For my back, oh, my back, it screamed in dismay, As the pain took hold, ruining the start of my day.
I attempted to straighten, to unwind my frame, But my muscles protested, as if playing a game. I stretched and contorted, seeking sweet relief, But the pain persisted, like a thief.
I walked like a hunchback, with slow, cautious steps, Hoping to find solace, but met with no reprieve. Every movement a reminder, of my nocturnal plight, Oh, the consequences of a bad sleeping night.
I cursed that fateful position, where my back had been bent, And vowed to avoid such contortions, with firm intent. For the lesson was clear, a painful one to know, That a good night's sleep requires proper pillow and toe.
So remember, dear friends, when you lay down to rest, Find a position that's kind, one that's truly the best. For in the realm of slumber, a good posture is key, To wake up refreshed, pain-free, and happy as can be!
