The morning light creeps in through the blinds, And the alarm clock, it rudely reminds,

That it's time to rise, and start the day, But I lay here, wishing it would go away.

There's nothing in my life, that gives me purpose, No reason to get up, and face the surface,

Of a world that's cold, and so unfeeling, Where happiness seems like a distant ceiling.

The weight of the blankets, seems too much to bear, As I lay here, lost in despair,

Wondering why I should even try, When nothing seems to justify.

But then I remember, the little things, That can bring joy, and give me wings,

Like the taste of coffee, and the warmth of the sun, Or the sound of birds, as they sing and run.

And so I slowly rise, and put my feet on the ground, Taking small steps, with the hope I've found,

That maybe today, will be a little brighter, And I'll find something, that makes my heart lighter.

It's hard to get out of bed, when life feels bleak, But sometimes the little things, are all we need,

To remind us, that there's still beauty in this world, And that each day, can be a new unfurled.
