When I invest into crypto I’m looking at what my returns will be in 4-6 years. When I started getting into the crypto space, I was ”THAT GUY”. You know the guy buying at the top of pumps then selling at a loss because I thought crypto was going to make me rich in a week.
Once I lost a few hundred bucks I changed my outlook on the space as a whole. I decided I was no good at swing trading and needed to look for projects that had potential for a long term ROI.
That patience has me up 70% of my initial investment so far and I haven’t even seen a bull market to date.
What am I bullish for?
My holdings today consist of XRP, ADA, VET, TRX , XLM & ALGO
I love BTC & ETH but will never own any. Today less then 1% of the worlds population owns crypto. We are already seeing super high fees and wait times to move coins around. Imagine how high the fees will be, the speed coins are utilized with even a 5% total world population increase.
As regulatory clarity is happening in many countries and adoption has begun I decided to look at names that had scalability and likely to solve real world problems.
I like XRP as an instant settlements platform on the xrp ledger. It’s a crypto that was designed to scale and costs fractions of a penny to use. Very cost effective & can handle a large amount of transactions at once. Smart Contracts are coming to the xrp ledger through the Flare Network end of the fourth quarter, basically bringing all the good of ETH without the insane gas fees & improved network speed tenfold. I can honestly see this as a mainstream bridge currency system & payments platform as early as next year.
I’m a fan of Cardano (ADA) as an environmentally friendly alternative to Ethereum with no scalability issues also as well as cheaper fees using proof of stake rather then the climate changing proof of work that is used for BTC and ETH.
Vechain (VET) is already being adopted in real world industries and has a bright future as a way to enhance and track goods and services. It’s basically a transparent information flow of info. For example a can of corn can now be tracked to the day the kernel was planted, the fertilizer used , harvest date, how many days it took to transport, caning location and what supermarket it ended up at. There are more applications on the vet blockchain but this information will be very useful for large companies to improve efficiency. Large companies such as Walmart China are already using this technology and the list grows every day.
Tron (TRX) is another great bet to invest in 2020 It’s basically a next generation decentralized social media platform where you can share information with anyone around the world. No more Facebook shoving adds in your face & stealing your information.... someday.
Stellar (XLM) is similar to Ripples XRP who’s aim is to transform the worlds payments to a decentralized instant settlement system. Definitely the future in my opinion so why not bet on both horses to see who can do it first. Once either xrp or xlm are adopted it will be a game changer.
Algorand (ALGO) is aiming to create a borderless economy with its next generation blockchain technology. Algo also uses proof of stake & is a smart contracts platform that has an equal playing field. Not a bad bet they will do well in the coming years
When looking for a good HODL
I continue to research new projects that look to change our world today. These seem to be the best investments to HODL in 2020. Someday we will think of bitcoin and ETH as the America On Line & Yahoo of the emerging crypto world. I look for projects that will improve the space as a whole for hodling
