Insect Photography - Drone Fly


Here are two cool pictures I took at the gardens of Chalice Well in Glastonbury, England. I was just starting to play with macro imagery and was very, very pleased with these results.

I only had a set of extension tubes for my camera at the time (Pentax K100D) - cost about £15 ($22)  and used almost constantly! What a new world for me! (I've only just got something for my new camera, so hope to grab some great pictures now that the snow has gone away again.)

Even with the extensions, it's sometimes difficult waiting for the insect to sit where you want them to... I'll show you an example of that next week...
