Abstract photos using very shallow depth of field

By valo | Valo | 30 Jul 2022

I like abstract art and I like bokeh, so I decided to combine them. I put an extension tube to a 500 mm mirror lens and these are the results. Some people don't like ring bokeh, and I agree that it doesn't work well with some subjects but here it makes the photos mysterious.

Next is an abstract photo taken using Takumar 50 mm f/1.4 but reversed. The subject might be the same - a colourful crystal - but I don't remember exactly. It was many years ago that I took it.

And one more, more ordinary photo this time - red food dye dripping down a glass of water.
