Islamabad, Pakistan: Last week, an event titled "Take Back your Privacy!" was organised by Utopians at National Library and Resource Centre (NLRC), Islamabad. Students representing various different top Computer Science Universities, and working on projects involving Big data, Network security, management and evaluation, and Blockchain technology.
The event started with the Utopia presentation, in which the participants were told in-depth about what Utopia is, its uses, how it beats all other social media platforms and Crypton - Utopia ecosystem's cryptocurrency, with constant strong emphasis on the privacy, security and anonymity features provided. This was followed by the video message of Utopia, after which a small Question/ Answer session with the audience was held. Finally a hands-on demonstration of Utopia software, and Utopia website was held. The special invitees then held a discussion session, where the Utopians guided them whenever they needed some details or more information. The event was concluded with Utopia prizes being gifted to the invitees.
During the discussion sessions, various topics were discussed including how top social media sites, emails, and almost every sort of other means of communication is doing spying on people and monitoring them at a deep level, how privacy is being betrayed as best as possible, and how data has become the new oil. Participants were deeply stressed about this, as they knew, that before there was no solution other than to leave all means of online communication and only participate in physical communications. However all of them agreed that now the world has changed with the launch of Utopia, as after a very long time, they have a chance to reclaim what is truly theirs and theirs alone: Their privacy.
The participants were also very happy when hearing about the successful Beta- Testing of Utopia, which firmed their belief that Utopia truly is what it says itself to be. They wanted to help out Utopia as much possible, as they truly found the Utopia project to be amazing, and appreciated the efforts of the 1984 group, and The Utopians, both which are doing their best to return the control of private information, back to their rightful owners.
