You may wonder where your creepy yet somehow magnetic vampire hails from, and I’ve been charged with telling you the epic tale of how these creatures of the night made their start. Stay vigilant. They have a tendency to outwit and destroy you.

Origin Story (Vampires): The Dark Brothers vampire coven ruled across the dark underground space for several millennia. Cold, calculating, unforgiving, their reign was met with both derision and reverence. Fear for the uncertain punishment awaiting anyone who crossed them. Reverence for their impeccable fashion sense and sheer demonic dominance.

Until their necessary descent into a hundred-year slumber, they remained the caution out of every supernatural creature’s mouth. As expected, their absence in the world of dark creatures was met with relief and celebration by some, but unbearable dismay and yearning by others. For no other creature, be it living or undead, would ever compare to their barbaric but incredible reign.

After a long absence, the royal vampires awoke to the disturbing sounds of laughter and chatter — a youthful folly. As they stalked their unsuspecting prey from all corners of the globe, it was clear from the odd, unrecognizable contraptions and greatly altered fashion that the world was much changed.

With no other choice, the freshly awoken vampires were forced to undertake a new mission: to blend in with the changed world, absorb their new fashionable ways, and finally end the long-standing rivalry with the notorious werewolf pack who had first sent them into their hundred-year recovery sleep.

Soon, you will eagerly claim your werewolf, and there’s a few things you should know about them before you do.

First, we’ve all heard the stories about the evil, lurking beasts who howl at the moon. But despite their reputation, werewolves are grossly misunderstood and stereotyped. This, of course, is because of generations of vampires and their loyalists who took clever hold over the werewolf narrative.

So, I’m here to set the record straight. You may not realize you know a werewolf until it’s the full moon, but that’s the beauty of it.

Origin Story (Werewolves): It wasn’t a secret that the Blood Claw werewolf community was one of the largest packs in the world, and that their distaste for everything vampire had become their own personal anthem.

Unlike distasteful, power-hungry vampires, werewolves were gentle folk, who, despite their beastly forms, cared deeply for others and never endangered the lives of humans.

Even on the full moon, werewolves were charged to ensure the safety of innocent lives by traveling to obscure, distant areas no human would wander. And with the help of their Elders and Alphas over the years, werewolves even managed to blend in with society and control their beast-like instincts during transformation.

But it was their stable, clever ascent into power that beguiled the supernatural world the most. It was a story that inspired generations of werewolves (and creatures like them) to join their ranks.

Because werewolves had once been the enslaved companions — abused, ridiculed, undermined, and discarded when no longer useful — to vampires and their growing covens since long before their ancestral stories were ever told. So, no single werewolf knew for certain when their servitude to vampires and the favored few truly began.

And until the fateful uprising against their greatest enemy, the Dark Brothers vampire coven, werewolves suffered brutality and disgrace with only their fellow packmates to console them. But now they were top dog and would do anything to keep it that way.

Rivalry Origin Story: The story of how the inevitable clash came to fruition is whispered differently among vampires and werewolves. Because, if told by a vampire, they would simply argue it was mere luck and numbers that destroyed them and not the power of the Blood Claw werewolf pack. However, hear it from a werewolf and they’d say it was with skill and power the wolves overcame the vampires. They’d say it was the single greatest uprising ever organized in the history of rebellions.

But the truest version of how vampires lost their position of power to werewolves is that the arrogance of one was exploited by the eagerness and determination of the other. The Elders of the Blood Claw werewolf community organized an uprising so powerful, so impressive, that the power dynamic shifted and flipped in their favor. If not for the arrogance and complacency of the Dark Brothers, it could be argued that it would’ve been a bloodbath for the Blood Claw.

Whether it was from luck and circumstance rather than true power, vampires were subsequently displaced and vanquished. The survivors either bent the knee, pledged to never again endanger innocent humans, and live out their existence under the radar, or they were tracked down and destroyed by hunting werewolf packs.

The few royal vampires that survived the war went into a deep sleep to recover from their injuries and had, until recently, been all but forgotten. But with their grand reappearance, it was now the vampires unfaltering wish to regain power once more and reign supreme in the supernatural society.
