Clarity act, clear as mud.

Clarity act, clear as mud.

Hello all,

I don’t have a lot of faith in the government,  that should be stated first and foremost.  I don’t look to the government to solve all of my problems.  I have choices to make.

Now,  I do believe that we need some level of regulation for the crypto industry.  I don’t want the government to do it, but they need to do it.

This is where the lack of trust comes in, both sides are not working for the people.  Today at the last hour the democrats moved the goalposts to see if they can sabotage the Clarity Act and blame Republicans.

This not intended to be a pro Republicans post or an anti Democratic post.  They have had months, if not years to do this and a last minute proposal is just a bad faith effort to try and look good and blame the other side.

Before you lecture me, IKNOW they both do it.  Please refer to my first paragraph.

when government functions well, both sides of the aisle compromise for the good of the majority in the middle,  the majority need this Clarity Act to pass.  We need it to regulate the abusers if the system.  I wish the companies who run exchanges.  Those who develop cryptocurrencies would do it but they don’t.

That leads us to a necessary evil of the government regulation position I am taking.

Let’s hope they put the people first and get it done today.

Cryptocurrency is a fascinating idea, one that has many confused, scared and dismissive of the concept. However, it also is intriguing and likely a large part of the future.
