I saw a headline today on Reddit that said Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak are calling for an urgent pause on AI due to fear of risks posed to humanity. Can AI even be paused? I honestly don't think it can be. Why are people always so afraid what they can't control & don't yet understand? I view AI as a cog in the evolution of society as a whole. Do we become smarter & more efficient due to AI, or do we fear AI & attempt to ruin progress? I think the answer is clear but I like to hear opinions from all regarding this topic. 

I don't think putting the brakes on AI is viable. I think humans need to integrate with AI to survive in the future. We need to embed ourselves with the technology, so as to say AI becomes an extension of our brains. We would evolve and become infinitely more intelligent. Otherwise, we will try to control it & go to war with AI in a sense. It's an impossible fight. Imagine what learning would become if every thought had an answer. Would we ever spend another dollar on education again? Would money even matter, or would humans integrated with AI realize it's more efficient to live in a free market and make AI & internet available for all? I just smoked two joints before I thought this through 🤷‍♂️ Maybe it's not that far fetched though?
