Hey everyone, today I am going to write an article about a new blogging platform I discovered yesterday while browsing web3. On my neverending journey to create a living out of blogging & creating art I happened upon Bulb, a web 3 blogging platform built on the Solana Blockchain. In order to sign up for Bulb, you must have a Solana wallet, I would recommend Phantom wallet provider. Once you sign up you can edit your profile, get the feel of the platform & either create your first post or explore articles. It is simalar to publish0x in a few ways but it works differently. Here are the key takeaways.
•Energy - On bulb you have an energy meter. It costs energy to write on the platform and read/interact with other users posts. You receive 30 energy every 12 hours. It costs 30 energy to write a post on the platform so simalar to Publish0x, you can create 2 posts each day. Something I appreciate on Bulb is that when you run out of energy, if you don't mind spending some tokens, you can refill your energy bar and write/comment as much as you'd please on the platform. You can also spend tokens to boost your post to the top of the feeds for a set amount of time. These features not only allow the user to feel like they're getting a better experience from the platform, this is how the platform earns money to build a better platform as well.
•Level - On bulb every new account starts at level 1. Your level on the platform is basically a gauge of how frequently you write, the size of your audience, and the popularity of your posts. This is a cool metric, not so much because there is anything special or unique about it, but everyone likes seeing their progress so leveling up when. Your work is paying off is a nice added touch.
•In Platform Currency & Marketplace - On Bulb the main goal of writing and building an audience here is to earn $BULB tokens, which can be used on the platforms marketplace, or converted to Solana depending on the user's needs/goals. Each $BULB token currently has a market price of roughly 1cent and tokens are airdropped to the community regularly based on their efforts.
I can't really give a detailed review of $BULB just yet as I've only been using it a day and it takes time to figure out if this the right place for me to build an audience, but I has been fun using it and I do see major potential here.
