When I Grow Up: A Poem

By troynamps | Troy Poetry | 6 Apr 2020

When I grow up I want to be young,
Young and wild to not care
Paint the city blue black
Drink lots of milk and stay alive

I want to forget that I grew older over the years,
All I want to remember are the days I have always felt alive
Never to count my tears,
Rather discount all the worries and invest in my joys

Why should I be bothered by the past?
I am here in the present looking into future
Ergo,
I'll be merry forevermore, Amen!

Who wants to grow old? I wish I could be forever young. Thank you for reading and all the generous tips. You guys rock!!!
