Calling The Devil

By troynamps | Troy Poetry | 27 Mar 2020

This is a rare dare,
Calling the devil in person
Sending a warning message,
Be warned!
We are no longer sitting
with arms folded
And wet eyes.
Cry for what?
We won't rub your ego anymore,
It's time for hope
Let the hopeless be recharged

Far from me,
Never in this life!
Who do you think
Yourself to be?
Yes,
You have shaken walls
That wasn't enough.
You tore down the curtains
That didn't move me still.
Be my guest,
Try even harder -
Summon them all;
Your daredevils,
But rest assured
I am never moving an inch
To my wit's end
Not in this life,
Not in the next.
