We work diligently to provide the high quality, and fairly priced items on eBay. As anyone with any Business knowledge knows, a business can't contiue giving away product. To remain viable, it must be reasonably profitable. Thus, I am forced to announce that shipping charges will be increasing soon. Not only is the post office raising prices, I just learned that eBay has even included Sales Tax, in their calculation of Selling Fees that they are charging us. So, when tax is collected on the sold item, eBay charegs us aprox. 20% of the tax amount. Example, if your are charged $10 in Sales Tax - Ebay will add an additional $2 in the selling fees they charge me. Keep in mind that they are also charging the high fee on the total sales amount - which includes Shipping. Even when I charge $3.99 shipping fee, I loose money in shipping cost! 

That might not sound like much to someone, but when a seller runs on a tight profit margin - the already high Selling Fee is a burden. For example, let's say you have $20 invested in an item. On average, your shipping cost is around $3.80 per item, and you charge all customers the same flat rate of $3.99, You are already loosing money( -61 cents ), when you pay eBay for their 80 cent fee on Shipping charges. 

Now let us say that you sell your item for $30. EBay's fee is $6.00, whic gives you a $4 profit? No there is an additional Selling fee based on Sales Tax. All my working life( much in Sales, and Sales Management, and General Management), I have never seen, nor heard of Fees based on Sales Tax amounts! It seems unethical, to me. Nevertheless, it appears that is what i am forced to do - if I continue to sale on eBay. 

Now, let's say that the customer is carged 10% by eBay, for Sales Tax, That would be $3. I am then charged  -60 cents, added to the selling fee. 

I am charged $7.21 in total Fees, for selling a $30 item. $10 - 7.21 = $2.79! Only Two Dollars and 71 cents remains as my profit. That is why you will rarely see me offer an item at a 99 cent beginning bid! I have to start my bids off at a number where i will not loose money, but at the least make a small profit.  I am not a busines, but i am also not selling my items for peanuts, nor a loss. 

At this point, i don't forsee enough time to update all my existing shipping charges. That is a good thing for my customers! For a while, you can still buy from us - and pay the Old Shipping Charges. Starting very soon, our new listings will begin reflecting the new Shipping costs. As the old saying goes " Get it while the getting is good".

Speaking of getting good - This Deal will be something to feel good about, in no time at all! As Hyperinflation continus to pick up steam - It is very easy to see Precious Metals Prices Shooting High, as the flood overcomes the artificial dam - which are the much undervalued spot prices.
