Today I will do something different for you.
I will tell you a little about myself and my roots, in the land where I was born.
I grew up in a small village in the Vila do Conde region, more specifically in Vila chã beach
My grandparents lived off fishing as my grandfather always taught me everything about tidal boats and fishing.
Vila Chã is one of the few fishing areas in the Vila do Conde area still active at the moment, it has about 7 boats and 17 active fishermen.
there are also older people who now fish from the land, what we call sport fishing
rom an early age, we are taught that, with "the sea doesn’t play", just as they teach us to swim from an early age, even in bad sea.
One of the exercises of the ancients is to tie us to a rope with bad sea and they teach us how to deal with the sea like that in more complicated situations, imagining a to help someone if necessary.
Well enough about my past and let's talk about a visit to this land of good people, good food and good drink
These are our homes where we sew the nets and prepare the material for our night work.
During the mornings, the wives of the fishermen, who are usually fishmongers, do all the necessary work on land to take the "bread to the table" ie they do all the work for the next night,, and sell their fish.

We see some devices used for local activity our boats take up to 8 crew and 1 master of fishing.
We also have an audible warning on foggy days so that it is possible to locate the place to disembark, as we can see in the photo

In addition, we need to have a "reserve" boat, as well as all the means of rescue in a house we call "ISN" (shipwreck aid institute) Also, in this project, it was including a photograph from the old days on our beach

believe it or not, despite the hard work that these people who live from art live in style and happy with a smile on their face, because they do not feel the pressure of the "world"
Unfortunately I did not follow this activity

-On bad sea days we take the boats out of the sand and put them in safe places.

-The houses we see at the moment are rented out to summer tourists, which makes the local traditional economy develop

the building in question and where we sell all the fish collected during the night, the boats start arriving around 7am every day from Monday to Saturday,it looks kind of abandoned, but it's still functional.

Finally our houses on narrow streets, typical of our region, because we live in a community in which both help each other, despite our concerns about who else fishes or who takes the biggest fish in the cold waters of winter.
I hope you like this little text, I did it with love for you
