ushered into
the new Reiwa era,
they are beaten,
left, right, center
by the sprightly June breeze
that sometimes morphs into
a frightening storm that has
the wife grimacing in dismay
Still,
They hold their ground
I hope my son
will grow to be
as unyielding as
these padi plants
