There is something about the unique Japanese brand of architecture that I absolutely adore. Clean cut, muted colours, exquisite style. Even looking at Lego artefacts of these iconic landmarks gave me pause for thought and took my breath away. They are so distinctly different from contemporary pieces. Maybe my psyche hankers after something that doesn’t scream modernity, something that reflects the Japanese pride and penchant for intricate craftsmanship. The funny thing is, I haven’t realised how much I was into these photos until I decided that I was going to declutter my digital life this holiday. Sometimes, lying things dormant for many years causes them to stay defiantly tethered to my spirit.
