Aso Cuddly Dominion, Kumamoto

Aso Cuddly Dominion, Kumamoto

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Aso Cuddly Dominion. On one hand, I appreciate how it is nestled in the midst of the mountains. Looking up at the spectacular blue sky and basking in the sunlight make the animal viewing experience more exhilarating. What’s more, this zoo offers some unique experiences, such as penguin feeding as well as baby bear cuddling. It seems like its unique factor lies in gathering different species of bears, so you can observe how formidable they are. I did pass up on the chance to hold a baby bear and take a photo with it; it just seemed a bit exploitative to me.

On the other hand, the bears kinda looked desolate in their enclosures. I let you be the judge.
