The Kingdom of Norway, commonly known as Norway, is a constitutional monarchy located on the western coast of the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe.

The capital city is Oslo, situated at the end of the Oslofjord in a port city. It shares borders to the east with Sweden, Russia, and Finland. Norway is not a member of the European Union (EU).

Geographically, the country is long and narrow from north to south, with a coastline facing several North Atlantic seas, including the Skagerrak Strait, the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the Barents Sea.

The coastline is characterized by numerous fjords. Additionally, Norway possesses the Jan Mayen island in the North Atlantic, about 1,000 kilometers from the mainland, as part of its territory. The Svalbard archipelago in the Barents Sea is also part of Norway, as stipulated by the Svalbard Treaty.

Furthermore, Norway has the Bouvet Island as a dependency in the South Atlantic.
