Travel to Egypt

Visa: it is taken at the airport, it costs 14€ which is paid on the spot there.

Train tickets Cairo-Luxor / Aswan - Cairo: you can buy online, a road costs  55€ for foreigners and includes a seat in the cabin for 2 people, dinner and breakfast. For 70€ you will receive a cabin with a bed and the same services.

Accommodation: can be found for all pockets. I stayed at cheap hotels and a hostel - it would have been nice to have had more comfort, but here each has its limits ... budget.

Tours: Well, it's enough to go to the front desk and ask that girl. They all have connections with travel agents who take you either to the Valley of the Kings, to Abu Simbel or wherever else. you want.

Language: English is widely spoken, given the history of the country and the importance of tourism. It's harder with the writing, because almost everything is written in Arabic, even the numbers. By the end of the trip I had learned to read the numbers in Arabic, but only in the meantime I forgot everything.

In Egypt, almost all train windows are broken or cracked. The explanation was revealed as soon as i left Cairo and went through all sorts of ugly and poor cities, with unfinished buildings (so as not to pay taxes for them) and mountains of garbage that didn't seem to bother anyone: in the train stations They were having fun throwing stones at the train, without this disturbing anyone.

Thank you for reading! Have a nice day
