Cebu is located in central part of the country, on the island under same name. It said to be the most vibrant and well developing city of the Philippines. City is a great spot as a base to explore many attractions of the island, which diving with the whale sharks, near Oslob town, being the most attractive.

Walking around city streets one can feel the real atmosphere and vibe of the country, that you won't find in tourist resorts. Very popular as means of transport, apart from taxis, are jeepneys. Type of minibus, where you just jump in and shout the driver your destination. The ticket payment is being carried then by your fellow passangers, hand by hand, to the driver. Each vehicle is different, with various colors and addons - all depends on imagination of the owner.

When you get hungry wondering around the city, you might find it interesting to visit Jollibee, a domestic fast food chain. You will be served with rice and spicy chicken or super tasty spaghetti. Service offer of the place is wide and of well quality.

Mentioned main attraction of the region - diving with whale sharks at the south of the island - is highly recommended. Sharks come to the spot near Oslob early in the morning. In order to appear there, locals are feeding them. Therefore there are many places to stay for a night and go for the diving next day at dawn.

Recently Cebu main airport has gone under massive renovation and upgrade, so arriving is even more pleasent. Also bridge connection between Mactan, an island where air infrastructure is located, and main area of the city is being constructed, making transport very easy in near future.
