NFT Sale moved? Well, it just means more time and opportunity to accumulate more DVK

If you read the title of this article, then you must already know that the sale has been moved to September 7 as the definitive date of the sale. This also means that the sale is a week after PAYDAY. A strategic day indeed as those feeling bullish in Devikins would more than likely turn a portion of their newly acquired salary to even more Devicoin(DVK) to buy more Devikins. Now, since there's more time to wait before the sale, I'd like to clarify more things about the pricing system of the sale on September 7. The price of a Devikins initially starts at $3 worth of DVK, however it doesn't stay at $3 throughout the entire duration of the sale. As the father of Devikins, Sergio N., explained in his tweet:

"One thing that I'd like to clarify about Devikin's inflation curve that I've seen misconception. NFT price is updated after an NFT is minted, not at milestones. For instance: It won't be fixed $3 until we reach 10K NFT CS. Price will be linearly interpolated. So, when NFT Current Sales(CS) is 5k, we will see the NFT price be at half point price of the 10k milestone (~$3.07). Using price represented by 2 decimals, akin to fiat money, we will see the price moving from $3.00 to $3.01 around NFT CS of 334. Thus inflation CURVE, and not STEPS."

To put it in layman's term, as more Devikins are sold, the higher the cost of each Devikin becomes. Thankfully, it's not a big exponential increase as 5,000 sold would only increase the price by $0.07 each. Thus the higher the demand, the higher the value of a Devikin becomes. This also does not include the value of a Devikin based on potential stats and rarity.

If you really want to know more, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY READ THE WHITEPAPER. Moving on, I see the potential of Devikins in another way other than it being a P2E game. With the recent boom of Art NFTs, Devikins' unique NFT generation and breeding system could also alternatively set itself as a pre-sale of potential Art/Avatar NFTs. When I saw a Devikin version of Sergio, one of the lead developers of Devikins, I realized that Devikins could be utilized for avatar purposes as well. Each Devikins having different physical features, abilities, clothes, quirks and emotions has more substance and personality than those simple, no use-case JPEGs being sold at ridiculous prices. Each Devikin could essentially have more variety and utility from those art-only NFTs. Think about it, there could be a Devikin that could encapsulate your individual identity or that of a celebrity, and what if you managed to acquire it? And more so at the initial price of just $3.

Consider this carefully. Avatar NFTs are much sought after and yet a lot of them being sold right now lack the utility, uniqueness, and polish that a Devikin could have. One could spend thousands of dollars of a JPEG of a Pet Rock but then, you have a Devikin NFT with its own idle animations, unique appearance, the ability to raise and take care of it Tamagotchi-style, the capability to have it become stronger and fight others, and its own quirky personalities and emotions. If those simple Art NFTs that are sold for thousands are just Art in NFT Format, then what could be the true valuation of each Devikin NFT that can offer a lot more than just being "art"?

I see a lot of people are only looking at Devikins as a potential P2E Game like Axie Infinity, but the individuality of each Devikin could transcend Devikins to more than just being a character you level up or make stronger, as it is possible that a Devikin can embody the very identity of its holder. The fact that we have to raise and nurture each Devikin from its Embryotic Stage to its Adult Stage (through a Tamagotchi-style mini game to be released this year) sort of adds a rather personal sentiment to a Devikin NFT unlike the somewhat standard or recolored variations of any other NFT that anyone just acquires without much effort other than shoving money to whoever was selling it.
