MONDAY MORNING VERSE

It is interesting that a lot of people do not like Mondays. Some people don't like their jobs and Monday starts the work week. Today I am challenging you to see today in a different light. Monday really gets a bad rap.

Today's Verse of the Day is Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV

Good morning All,

Today's verse of the day is Ephesians 3:20-21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

We can look at today as a new day in Christ full of unlimited possibilities and He is walking with us right beside us. Often times I catch myself and we have all been there with one of those attitudes like I don't want to go to work today. I am tired or I don't feel like it. Or another thought that keeps us in the bed. However, I have found that it is in my greatest interest not to let those thoughts or attitudes linger.

It is written:

2 Corinthians 10:5

5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Come on..... That's crazy right? take captive every thought Why? It is just a thought. A thought is harmless right? WRONG.... Here's why...

PROVERBS 23:7 KJV

7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. AS I THINK SO AM I... Yeah... I had to put the brakes on and re-read that one too.... Just as a rudder steers a ship. A thought steers a person.

Sometimes we get ourselves into trouble because we believe what other people think about us. We need to toss out the world's broken way of thinking and re-focus our minds.

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

Rather it is better to bring it straight to Jesus and exchange it for an attitude and thought process that is thankful that I even have a job to go to, that I opened my eyes this morning, which is a gift that cannot be measured and from that point start thanking God for every good thing that He has already done that I can think of. I am so thankful for His mercy which is new everyday. For none of us are even guaranteed the next 5 minutes...
