Today's Passage of Scripture is Psalm 15: 1-5
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.
End
Praise be to our Lord forever. Do not let unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, or hatred take root in your heart. These things destroy the person who tries to contain them. If you remember that someone has something against you go and be reconciled to them. Did the Lord make us earn His forgiveness? No and I thank God that He didn't because all of us would fail. We were freely forgiven, even while we were His enemies, that is when He willingly gave his life for us. Let us then freely forgive as we were forgiven. Is it not written?
Matthew 6:14-15 NIV
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
