Toadstool - Empowering creators and the blockchain
Toadstool is a token built on the Ethereum network. One of the things that makes it unique compared to other tokens is that it has a staking mechanism.
This mechanism's is named Gauntlet and Toadstool is the first implementation of it.
How does Gauntlet work?
Gauntlet is a mechanism that is built to reward long term ownership of tokens.
Instead of your tokens sitting in your wallet doing nothing, you can accumulate interest from them.
Rewards process in Gauntlet
1. User initiates their stake, this burns the stake. They also specify how long they'd like to syake for, the longer they stake for, the more interest they accumulate.
2. Over the time that they specify, the tokens are earning interest everyday. A staker may also have tokens sent to their wallet at random times, these are called penalties. Stakers have the option to withdraw their stake and earnings early, but if they do, a percentage of the withdrawal is given to the other stakers. The percentage that is penalized is determined by how many days you're staking for.
3. User withdraws their stake and they're minted their stake + rewards.
How is Toadstool distributed?
Toadstool tokens are distributed via many different distribution methods that require a contribution to Toadstool and it's ecosystem.
The goal of this is to prevent large dumps caused by distributing too many tokens to many people.
What are some plans for Toadstool?
There are a few plans for Toadstool and it's future, one of those plans is the first Toadstool Ecosystem DApp, Toadstool Factory.
Toadstool Factory is still being worked on however it will be released in Q3 2020 right after the ITO for governance tokens.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Toadstool is a token that is meant to be more unique than many of the other tokens built on the Ethereum blockchain.
