Crypto investing can take you down many roads and it is easy to get lost among the thousands of tokens/coins out there. The more you research, the more projects you learn about and wonder, "could this be the next big thing"? There are a variety of intriguing categories including gaming, memes, data storage, yield farming and let's not forget AI (Artificial intelligence), maybe the hottest at the moment. As you craft your portfolio you will probably begin to be partial to different genres of crypto, for me, I love gaming and think blockchain technology interfacing with video games could lead to some awesome outcomes. Truth be told though, at this time, many various altcoin projects fascinate me. Here I would like to touch on four projects that I think have great potential.
SHIBA INU $.00001127 Market Cap Almost $6.2 Billion dollars
Because of the release of a new blockchain set to start any day now, I feel I must begin with Shiba Inu. This one lies in the infamous meme coin category, basically an altcoin of the most famous meme coin, Doge. But alas! Shiba Inu is shedding its meme coat to morph into something far more interesting, and potentially explosively lucrative. In July of 2021, Shibaswap, a decentralized crypto exchange, was launched by the Shiba Inu team. Now a new layer is added to the equation, and that layer is called Shibarium, and with it, the Shiba empire is set to grow. Shibarium is a blockchain that will allow users and developers to create new uses of existing blockchains. Shibarium as a whole is designed for businesses and you will see many new decentralized apps being created here.
The Shiba Inu community is excited about all of this for one main reason; token burns. With an original supply of 1 quadrillion coins, now down to just over 549 trillion, it has always seemed like the dream of $.01, or even $1.00 for Shiba Inu was an impossibility. Shibarium's number one impact might be the large amount of token burns it will bring to Shiba Inu. Only time will tell if Shibarium has the massive impact that both it's community and developers believe it will. The Shiba community is another factor in this story, they are strong and proud and have been growing at a strong pace. Their support has been unwavering and they will tell you that wealth is on its way. If a bull market is in the forecast in the next two years, as many experts speculate, Shiba may just surpass Doge and head to the moon.
BLUR $0.6837 Market Cap Almost $275,000,000
Blur is an NFT marketplace and aggregator platform that offers unique features such as portfolio management, price feeds in real time, and an NFT multi marketplace that allows comparisons of various NFT's. Compared to other platforms, Blur is supposed to have a more intuitive interface and faster NFT sweeps. BLUR is the native governance token of the Blur marketplace and seems to be luring developers in for their trading preferences. One of the biggest bonuses for developers is that Blur seems to favor creators and try to attract them with more royalties than other platform. Blur tries to be different than other NFT marketplaces and addresses areas of concern for users. As an Ethereum ERC-20 token, Blur couldn't be on a much more solid platform, as it is secured by proof-of-stake.
At the time of writing this, BLUR, like many coins has taken a beating. It is currently trading at about $.68, but has reached as high as $1.37, though it debuted at almost $5.00, I don't feel it is fair to call that as its all time high. The reason I personally feel real excitement for this project is that it has already passed Opensea in daily trading volume, after just 5 months!!!??? That is impressive!!! It is certain that the massive air drop BLUR had contributed to the increased activity, but in this bear market it is very reasonable at the current price.
Artificial Liquid Intelligence $0.06087 Market Cap Almost $220,000,000
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been the hot buzz word around crypto communities for the last few months. Artificial Liquid Intelligence is the utility token of the AI protocol that aims to bring inter-operability, creation and governance of various AI characters and assets. This will allow decentralized apps and assets to communicate with each other providing a trustless and secure arena where these assets can be traded with no interference. This is a new and different way for any AI avatar platforms to behave and adapt. In their own words Alethea is the first Multimodal platform that creates interactive AI characters from a description in natural language. Alethea's Character GPT technology allows characters to form with distinguishing personalities, behaviors, looks, and identities.
Though some of the AI hype seems to have died down (with the rest of the market), the Alethea promises to be one that may just change the narrative on avatars. We have already seen signs of this in movies like Ready Player One, where avatars are more than just a picture, they compete, create and even fall in love. With CharacterGPT after a character has been tokenized they will then be trained by their creators on how to behave, what their personality is like and how smart they are. These avatars will then be able to interact across dApps on the AI protocol. Alethea's all time high of $.1368 could easily be shattered in the next bull market.
Ridotto $0.03207 Market Cap Almost $6,600,000
Ridotto is a gambling and lottery platform that aims to change the way people see gambling. Now the user will have the potential to become "the house", not only allowing them to play casino games, but to also build and bankroll them to. This type of control is likely to attract many gamblers who have felt they could do it better. With the massive rise in legalized gambling and the dozens of apps that have taken advantage, Ridotto is trying to carve out its own niche. They promise safe, fair, transparent and anonymous alternative to centralized gambling. There are only half a billion Ridotto tokens which is another factor that may entice the shrewd crypto enthusiast who recognizes the value of scarcity.
The all time high Ridotto hit in November of 2021 of $1.47 is certainly a potential target when the market picks up, and it may even shoot right past that. At its current price one could secure a large amount for a reasonable sum. The roadmap listed on Ridotto's website is expansive and exciting to see. The future holds many targets for Ridotto including the launch of a gaming platform, presence in the metaverse and a social gaming layer redefining how we interact with our friends online. A truly microcap crypto at the moment, I love the idea of getting in on such a low number. It is certainly a gamble, but one where the reward outweighs the risk. This is one crypto to keep an eye on and one that I have already added to my portfolio.
