Today I want to talk about Flixxo, a new decentralized Youtube like a platform where users earn by watching and sharing video content.

This is not Flixxo review, it's just a quick look at how amazing this platform is and what exactly it's trying to solve.

Flixxo finished their ICO about a few months ago and though am not so heavily invested in this project I kinda find it to be so interesting. The Flixx token is the medium of exchange for all the Flixxo activities and it's already listed on the coin market cap at a price of $0.0156 and a market cap of 1.19M as of May 30th 2019.

How you can earn on Flixxo.

Flixxo introduces a very familiar concept we have seen in other decentralized content creation and consumer platforms like musicoin, Dtube and so on. Flixxo basically lets users pay for content they watch and pays users when they view advertisements.

Joining Flixxo is very easy and free, users are required to download a standalone Flixxo app. The interface is simple and very smooth to navigate.

My verdict

It's easy to see what Flixxo is attempting to solve especially when it comes to rewarding content creators. It's too early to predict if Flixxo will replace major video platforms both centralized and decentralized but they do have a big change to bring to the world of media consumption. People's content is underrated on most platforms especially if the content creators are not so well established, it's refreshing to see that even an average content creator can be appreciated and paid.

Besides convenience and fairness, it's great to see decentralized platforms come out to challenge and stand to be the next big thing in the near future.
