What is Trust Wallet?

Trust wallet is an open-source, non-custodial wallet for cryptocurrencies. After the founding of Trust Wallet in 2017, it was bought by Binance in 2018 and showed substantial growth since then. It supports over 160,000 tokens, several blockchains and provides different financial features that can help users earn money using their coins. 

Trust Wallet is a free app to download and it's supported in almost all countries. It is compatible with both Android and Apple devices which makes it very popular among crypto users.

Furthermore, it provides access to marketplaces and decentralized exchanges like OpenSea, PancakeSwap, UniSwap and AAVE. Plus, Staking and Swaps are available with the use of Binance DEX and 1inch. Trust Wallet is also a great option for NFTs. The wallet has a built-in Web3 browser, which allows users to access decentralized applications and blockchain games directly from its platform.

Trust wallet has a native token based on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) know as Trust Wallet Token (TWT). There is 1 billion total supply of the token but only a quarter is in circulation right now. One application of this token is as a governance token, holders of TWT can participate in votes regarding decisions concerning Trust wallet. Holders of this token also get discount when using DEX services and purchases on the platform.

TWT's price showed a huge increase during the past few years and at the time of writing this post, it was holding at $0.92.

  • Native Token: Trust Wallet has its own token which can be used for governance and to get discounts on its platform.
  • Buying Crypto: Purchasing crypto can be done easily on the platform.
  • Staking: Trust Wallet allows staking with the use of different exchanges on its platform.
 
Conclusion

Trust Wallet is one of the most popular mobile wallets at this moment and it's clear to seen it is because it provides great services to the users. The simplicity of the user-interface and not to mention the vast number of coins, blockchains and NFTs that are supported on the platform makes this wallet favorable from other crypto wallets. The built-in Web3 browser is also what makes this wallet preferable. Although the wallet faced some regulatory issues in the U.S., the security and privacy features make this wallet my ultimate choice.
