This was a cocktail I created a couple years ago. The blend of ingredients create an herbal, spicy, rich flavor, yet remains refreshing. I've never been a fan of bananas or banana drinks, but this banana liqueur is outstanding and adds just enough subtle banana richness without going overboard like typical sickly sweet banana drinks. This is a banana drink for drink snobs, those who sip spirits neat, and enjoy subtleties, and nuances. I hope you enjoy it!
THE BANANA HAMMOCK SWIZZLE
Created 2/7/2019 by KahunaKevin.com
2.5 oz Dry Rye Gin (St. George)
1.25 oz Red Grapefruit Juice (Fresh)
1 oz Banana Liqueur (Tempus Fugit Spirits Banane)
1 oz Lime Juice (Fresh)
1/2 oz Cinnamon Syrup (Monin)
2 dashes Chocolate Bitters (Scrappy's)
2 dashes Chili Bitters (Hella Cocktail Co.)
Add all ingredients to an empty mixing glass and stir with no ice.
Fill a tall Collins glass with crushed ice. Pour the mixture into the Collins glass and swizzle the cocktail until chilled.
Garnish with 1/2 a spent lime shell, mint springs and add a long sipping straw.
Cheers & thanks for the tips! The more tips I receive, the more new recipes I can create & new bottles I can stock in my bar. -KK
