Walmart Canada has created a unique innovation within its ecosystem. It has reportedly used blockchain technology to improve its tracking systems. Logistics tracking has now become easier using the new technology.  Legacy systems in logistics are always expensive to install and maintain. They also have security issues. And this is a bad thing for large organizations like Walmart. It creates a paradigm where retail giants can track every aspect of their value chains without stress. This also leads to further savings that can be passed on to the customer. It also makes it easier for everyone to be able to work due to the mathematical efficiency of blockchain solutions. This also makes everyone’s burden lighter due to the transparency of the ledger system.  As such, the losses incurred across the value chain will be minimal as well.

The European Central Bank’s Digital Currency Project

The European Central Bank has revealed a digital currency project. This digital currency project is also blockchain-based. It creates a new paradigm for money as we know it. It also sets the standard for a new society as paper-based systems are going one step at a time into oblivion.  

It may also set the standard of how digital money would operate once the adoption of blockchain technology has reached acceptable levels.  Central bank-issued digital currency will still be controlled centrally.  Further down the line, we shall see higher levels of decentralization coming in.  for now, though, it’s a   nice start to what is expected to become the start of the digital century. And the ECB may have been among the first to get their foot in the door!

With digital money, the unbanked get banked. Everyone has access to financial systems. Blockchain technology can do this on any scale and securely as well.  The lack of financial inclusion will become a thing of the past. More people will be able to do things with their economic value. Payments across the board will also be easy.

The Mining World will be Improved by Blockchain Technology

Several companies last year at the world economic forum decided to implement a blockchain solution that will change the mining sector on a global scale.  The forum announcement has included some of the leading mining giants on a  global scale. They intend to apply blockchain technology in many aspects of the mining sector. While this may not look like much, it is a start to ending the various conflicts that plague the world where minerals are concerned. The implementation of a boycott of minerals that fuel conflict zones is one example that blockchain solutions can achieve in this regard.  While there is a long way ahead, the world can go one step further in making our world conflict-free as far as minerals are concerned.

While the world may not understand blockchain technology yet, it will further down the lien as improvements to the human existence begin to change lives and destinies.

This may yet be the most glorious era of humanity’s existence.
